A homage to Xian Cun (冼村) in my home city of Canton (广州).
I tried to recreate the residential area as it was slowly getting demolished to build newer, higher density buildings that the residents opposed to. Till this day, Xian Cun remains a battleground between its last standing residents and the local authority.
I often think of this area as urbanisation in its most brutal, rawest form.
